Ernährungsmedizin bei Bluthochdruck (arterielle Hypertonie)

Als Bluthochdruck gelten aktuell Blutdruckwerte über 140/90 mmHg, wobei ideale Werte unter 120/80 mmHg liegen. Es werden zwei Formen der arteriellen Hypertonie unterschieden. Zu ca. 90% die primäre Hypertonie (Ursachen unklar, i.e. Lebenstil!) und zu ca. 10% die sekundären Hypertonien, wo organische Ursachen (Nierenfunktionsstörungen, hormonelle Ursachen, Schlafapnoe) zu Grunde liegen.

In den deutschen und internationalen Leitlinien zur Hypertonie werden Lebensstilveränderung als erster therapeutischer Schritt empfohlen: regelmäßige Bewegung, Alkoholverzicht und Salzkontrolle und eine pflanzenbasierte mediterrane Ernährung. Im englisch Sprachraum wird die DASH-Ernährung (Dietary Approach to stop Hypertension), eine sehr pflanzenbasierte, vornehmlich vegetarische Ernährung empfohlen.

Die sekundären Pflanzenstoffe und das in pflanzlicher Nahrung reichlich vorkommende Kalium und Magnesium senken gut den Blutdruck. Geschrotete Leinsamen, Hibiskustee und grüne Smoothies senken hierbei den Blutdruck besonders stark. (Siehe Videos)
